Breathing Exercise Cards for Kids | Amazon FBA Insights | Inventory Planning

This past week has been another eventful and insightful one in my Amazon journey, especially with my Breathing Exercise Cards for Kids product. I'm continuing to share everything transparently—including wins, mistakes, and decisions—so if you're a fellow seller, you can learn directly from the backend of a real Amazon business.

Performance Highlights

  • Conversion Rate: A strong 19.3%, and an even more impressive 288% for business customers. That tells me one thing—our product isn’t just getting clicks, it’s converting extremely well.

  • Helium 10 Keyword Rankings: New updated stats show that we're maintaining and climbing in several relevant keyword positions. For example:

    • “Breathing exercise cards for kids” – Position 3

    • “Breathing cards for kids” – Position 2

    • “Calming corner” – still a work in progress, but we’ve already cracked the top 50

This is validation that our SEO strategy is starting to work, even with relatively few reviews.

Inventory Update & Decision-Making

Stock is now checked in, and I’m already seeing a strong signal: a business customer ordered 17 units the moment we became available again. That’s huge.

At the same time, I made a bit of a bold decision to manufacture another 200 units, and I’m considering producing even more. Why?

Because I clearly see that the product is moving.

But here’s the key insight for any seller reading this: You need to plan stock 6–8 weeks in advance.

Let me break down the timeline:

  • 📦 Manufacturing time: ~2–3 weeks

  • 🚢 Shipping Latvia → USA: ~5 days (air freight)

  • 🏬 Check-in at Amazon FC: Could take 1–2 weeks

  • 🛒 Sales velocity: Optimistically 3–4 weeks to sell out

  • 💸 Amazon payout delay: Amazon holds funds for a period before releasing to your bank

So, by the time you get your money back, you’ve already needed to place another order. This is why cash flow is king on Amazon.

Real Customer Feedback (and a Lesson Learned)

I received feedback noting spelling and grammar mistakes on the cards. And honestly, they were right. It wasn’t something I caught before the first batch went into production.

I used this as an opportunity to improve the product. The new batch has corrected all errors, and I appreciate every customer who leaves honest reviews—it helps me grow.

Q&A Banner Being Added to Listing:

“Thank you to those who pointed out early spelling issues. We’ve corrected all errors in the latest version of the cards.”

Key Takeaways

  • Always monitor your conversion rate—it’s more important than clicks.

  • Keyword tracking via Helium 10 is essential to validate SEO progress.

  • Plan cash flow well. Every new batch means spending upfront without immediate return.

  • Negative reviews are tough, but they’re also powerful opportunities to improve.

Final Thoughts

Amazon is a long game. You win by staying consistent, making data-driven decisions, and listening to your customers. I’ll keep showing everything I do—real numbers, screenshots, and processes.

Next up? I’ll be expanding our keyword strategy, considering new ad campaigns, and preparing another round of shipments.

If this helped you, let me know. If you want to learn more or want me to deep-dive into something specific, drop a comment.

Stay tuned and see you in next week's update.
